My 2 favorite Red Heads!

So in the whirlwind of the holiday season I got to photograph this GORGEOUS mom-to-be and her family and then a couple weeks later her beautiful baby girl was born. So here are some of the many many many many great shots I got of this extremely photogenic family :)

Urban Baby

Oh my...this little girl...6 months old...eyes that shine!

SO CUTE!

I am always amazed at 6 month olds eyes...so big! And so filled with excitement. And this little girl is no different. Such a fun shoot. Wandering the streets of their Chicago neighborhood, taking photos and checking out the sites. I am envious of the city lifestyle :)

Winter Wonderland!

It has been a very long time since I have posted something, so I am glad that I am finally getting back into the swing of things after a wild holiday season, a big student art show, and my transition to new students and photography classes that I am teaching!

I had THE BEST time photographing this family and thought I would share some of my favorite shots. We have been lucky to have had lots of snow...while it is chilly, it makes for a beautiful backdrop. This family was all about embracing the winter and getting outside for their family portraits!

Fall Wedding...last taste of color!

The week had been raining and raining...my fingers were crossed for a beautiful day to show off the gorgeous place that Julie and Jeff chose to start their new life together!

We lucked out! The clouds disappeared and the day was perfect!

The colors were so amazing and everything fell into place...including the rockin car they had pick them up to take them to the reception!

A Photographer's (and teacher's) Delight!

So what can I say about this portrait session...

To begin it fills me with so much joy to be able to photograph one of my former photography students...and that she was willing (along with her fiance) to play along with all of my ideas.

Between the rain and clouds and dismal Chicago suburban weather...I did not think we could pull this off...but we did and I am thrilled with the shots.

As a side note...no colors were adjusted...what you see is what we had. I have never seen a more beautiful place to photograph at!

Congratulations Colleen and Daniel!!! I am so happy for the two of you!

And thanks for helping me carry this couch all around through the weeds and burrs :)

SHOOT FAST!

I got to photograph my friend's extended family one afternoon at Kuiper's Farm and I had to work FAST :) Lots of cousins all over the place.

What a cute group of kids though!

I got some great shots in the short time we had..short attention spans yah know :)

Stella!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the name Stella! I especially love it because it makes me think of the Seinfled episode where Elaine so dramatically recites the scene from "Streetcar Named Desire"...but anyway :)

Too funny!

This little Stella was a doll to photograph! Her big eyes and cute personality!

And their bulldog is a clone of mine...but much better behaved.
