Smash Cake Birthday Session!

Happy 1st Birthday "N"!!!!!

This session was my most favorite session I have ever experienced! Of course I love all my sessions, but this one was so girlie...and right now being in a house with so many boys, this is just what I needed!

Mom and Dad were so creative and had so many fun ideas...and their baby girl was just perfect! So for her 1st brithday we did a "smash cake" celebration!

Yes...she has a cupcake on her booty. I could barely handle the cuteness! I am around too much blue! I loved all this pink!!!!

Just moved back to the States from Japan. She already knows how to use chopsticks (and rumor has it she loves sushi)!

Time for bed! Snuggling up to Mom while there is still some room around her belly :)

Holiday Season!

Oh the holidays are here...and I will NEVER complain about being busy :) I have been so lucky to work with so many families lately for their holiday card shots. I have been behind on my blogs and wanted to show off a few of my favorites from .

You may rcognize these girls from a shoot earlier this summer...they are naturals!

This shoot ended up being a great distraction from a terrible Bears game! Right when we headed outside it started to snow...do you see it?

Seroiusly...look at that face! Awwwww. Bailey you are the cutest!

Good Old Dogs...

Such old dogs...and so sweet. They just wanted to relax...and for an instant everyone was sitting :)

"M" could not have been more beautiful! She was so perfect to work with.

Ahhhhh...2 year olds. It is truly my favorite age. So tough to photograph, but once you get comfortable with the fact that they will always be moving...I began to make a game of it, and I think I won with this shot. What a little man!

Perfect Sunday Morning

After stressing all week about this photo shoot...wondering what the weather would be like, hearing it was going to snow, sleet, rain, etc.

Who would have though the we ever would have gotten such a beautiful day? The weather was perfect!

And I finally got a great shot of this little man! He looks just like his dad!!!

The sun was shining, the kids were smiling, and the wind stopped blowing...all for an instant :)

Amy & Dan welcome baby #2!

I have been slacking! Amy & Dan welcomed their second beautiful baby girl. She was born on October 18th...and these shots were taken when she was barely 24 hours old.

She had the cutest wrinkled feet!

Fall is in the air!

I don't blog about non-portrait/work photos too often, but I love these shots I took recently!

So the last warm weekend (I could be wrong...there may be more!) brought some crazy cloud formations. I made my husband pull over, so I could get a photograph of the blue sky. I am always prepared...ha! I just happened to have my camera on me!

Our autumn leaves have changed and have managed to not be stripped off the trees yet!So now that it is cold, and Halloween is 2 days away...let the carving begin! I had to show this photo...my hands hurt, but the kids love their pumpkins :)
